Charcoal
The Process
The beauty of light and the casting of shadows play out on the landscapes before me, and I take to charcoal to interpret their effects. I cover a piece of paper with charcoal, adding values and going back and forth to pull out the lights, highlights, and darker shadows. I start with stick or thick charcoal, and move to charcoal pencil with pink and electric erasers and blenders. To read more about my work, see the about page.
Please note that every piece is professionally framed with Conservation Clear or Museum Glass , and are presented here sans frames to best experience their detail online.
